What are Dental Emergencies and Same-Day Emergency Relief?

Dental emergencies can happen to anyone and at any time. An emergency situation can happen even to those who consistently come in for routine dental care. Emergencies can leave you in pain, feeling frustrated and being highly distressed. Our office offers same-day emergency relief so that you can get back to living life pain-free.

Why do you need Same-Day Emergency Relief?

If left untreated, a dental emergency can blow up into a bigger and more invasive problem. Issues such as infections, abscesses and severe decay can wreak havoc on your dental health. Our office is able to provide same-day relief for any and all emergencies. We work with patients of varying ages, ensuring that any member of your family can be seen quickly and confidently.

What is considered a Dental Emergency?

We consider any problem that is causing you pain or distress an emergency. In some cases, you may choose to wait to be seen. In other instances, the pain you’re dealing with may need to be handled as soon as possible because of how excruciating it is for you. Some of the more common emergencies that we see in our office include:

• Tooth pain
• Abscesses and infections
• Lost crowns, fixed bridges and fillings
• Broken dentures and partials
• Surgical complications
• Pain involving wisdom teeth
• Bleeding and inflammation of the gums

What to expect during your appointment for a Dental Emergency?

Our goal is to make any and all of your dental appointments as comfortable as possible. The emergency appointment often involves taking x-rays of the area that is bothering you. Dr. Buccellato will examine the x-rays in order to find the problem and create a personalized treatment plan in handling the situation. Because we offer same-day emergency relief, you can expect to have the work needed done during your visit with us. If an infection is present, you may be prescribed antibiotics before treatment can be started. We are equipped to handle most emergency situations in a comfortable, relaxed manner.
